Baku: Army Chief General Asim Munir met with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and other important personalities including the Minister of Defense and discussed the increase in military and defense relations between the two countries.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, also met the Deputy Minister, Chief of General Staff and Air Force Commander and appreciated the operational readiness and morale of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.
On this occasion, the political and military leadership of Azerbaijan appreciated Pakistan’s continuous support to Azerbaijan.

In the meeting, it was decided to increase mutual cooperation between the two states and the forces to a new level
On the occasion of his visit, Army Chief General Asim Munir also laid flowers at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Baku.
According to ISPR, the aim of the Army Chief’s visit is to enhance military and defense cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
