Arshad Sharif’s family denies claims of Murad Saeed seeking refuge at their home

Arshad Sharif's family denies claims of Murad Saeed seeking refuge at their home

ISLAMABAD:  The family of martyred journalist Arshad Sharif has denied allegations made by Senator Faisal Vawda that Murad Saeed, a senior PTI leader, took refuge at their home after Sharif’s assassination in Kenya.

The family, while talking to Daily Ausaf, has categorically stated that there is no truth to these claims and that they have no connection to Saeed’s movements.

Vawda had made the allegations during a TV appearance, also claiming that Imran Khan had named Saeed as his successor and linking several political figures to Sharif’s departure from Dubai before his murder.

However, the Sharif family has firmly rejected these claims, urging the media to respect their privacy and avoid spreading misinformation.

The denial comes as the investigation into Sharif’s assassination continues at the Supreme Court. The family’s clarification aims to put to rest rumors surrounding the case and allow the legal process to unfold without speculation or sensationalism.
