Azad Kashmir extends winter vacations in schools and colleges till January 17

AZAD KASHMIR: In view of the severity of the weather, the winter vacations have been extended in educational institutions in various provinces of Pakistan.

The Azad Kashmir government has issued a notification to extend the vacations in educational institutions due to severe cold. According to it, schools and colleges will remain closed till January 17 so that students can stay safe from the cold weather.

The Sindh government has also announced a change in the timings of educational institutions. According to the notification, all government and private schools in Sindh will open at 9 am till January 26. The vacation time will remain as usual. This step has been taken to protect students from the severe morning cold.

The Punjab government has also extended the vacations of schools and colleges by a week. Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said that in view of the severity of the weather and the health of students, schools and colleges will open from January 19.
