QUETTA: The Balochistan government has decided to introduce the Benazir Kissan Card to boost agriculture and support farmers in the province. Funds for the first phase of the initiative have been approved.
In a ground breaking development, the Balochistan government has announced to launch Benazir Kissan Card to facilitate agriculture and facilitate farmers across the province.
According to the government spokesperson, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has approved the funding to initiative the first phase on the Kissan Card scheme. The proposal for the scheme was submitted earlier by the agricultural department.
The Benazir Kissan Card scheme will provide subsidies to small-scale farmers in Balochistan, to support this initiative, the province’s IT department will also contribute by establishing a cloud system for two years to manage the program effectively.
The first phase will be fully funded by the provincial government, while the federal government’s will assist the scheme in the second phase.
This positive move aims to boost agricultural productivity and improve the livelihoods and overall quality of life of farmers in the province.
