LAHORE: A ban on flying drones in open air under Section 144 remains in effect throughout Punjab.
According to a notification issued by the Punjab Home Department, the ban on flying outdoor drones has been extended by 30 days. The Punjab government has banned the use of drones in view of security concerns.
The announcement states that limited use of small drones is allowed during ceremonies inside wedding halls and marquees, while the responsibility for the safe use of drones in indoor ceremonies will lie with the organizers.
In the announcement of the Punjab Home Department, the ban on flying drones has been extended until May 25, while exempting intelligence and law enforcement agencies from the ban.
