ISLAMABAD: Good news has come for Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) beneficiaries before Ramadan.
Benazir Income Support Program Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid has announced an increase in the amount of financial assistance before Ramadan, under which full financial assistance will be provided to one crore deserving families across the country.
In an exclusive interview with state run news agency APP, Senator Rubina Khalid said that the quarterly stipend of Benazir Kafalat will be increased from Rs13,500 to Rs14,500, which will be administered during the month of Ramadan.
The BISP Chairperson said that a further increase of Rs500 has also been approved for the Benazir Education Scholarship Program.
According to her, a similar increase of Rs500 has been approved for the Benazir Nishonma Program, which provides support to pregnant women and lactating mothers through food items and financial assistance.
