Brazilian Chief of Staff meets Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf

ISLAMABAD: Brazilian Chief of Staff Admiral Andre Luiz Silva Lima De Santana Mendes visited the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, where he was greeted by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and a contingent of the Pakistan Navy presented a Guard of Honour.

During the meeting, dignitaries discussed matters of mutual interests & bilateral naval collaboration. They discussed several methods of cooperation, including training, exchange visits, and the conduct of bilateral naval exercises between their navies, DGPR Pakistan Navy said in a press release.

The visiting dignitary also laid flower wreaths at the Shuhada Monument where he was introduced to the Principal Staff Officers of the Naval Headquarters.

Admiral Ashraf stated that the Pakistan Navy’s initiative of Regional Maritime Security Patrols aims to provide maritime security, and maintain, and establish a peaceful environment in the region.

Admiral Mendes expressed his gratitude to the Pakistan Navy and acknowledged their efforts and future commitments in support of collaborative maritime security in the region. This visit aims to further strengthen and expand the defence ties between the two countries, enhancing communication and cooperation between their defence forces.
