KARACHI: On Saturday, the Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi hosted the commissioning parade for naval cadets belonging to the 120th Midshipmen.
Top performers received valuable awards and the Sword of Honour during the event.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf, the Chief of Naval Staff, was the main guest for the event. High-ranking Navy officials met him.
According to the reports that following a successful training program, 70 midshipmen and 28 short service commission officers graduated today.
The special guests received their awards from the principal guest. Sword of Honour went to Midshipman Abdullah Waheed, and Academy Dirk went to Midshipman Aftab Ahmed. Officer Cadet Muhammad Danish received the Commandant Gold Medal, while Officer Cadet Muhammad Khubaib received the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gold Medal.
Addressing the ceremony Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf said Cadets from friendly nations are receiving training from the Pakistan Navy. He claimed that the Pakistan Navy’s high standards and expertise are demonstrated by the admission of cadets from friendly nations in the course. He advised the cadets to keep themselves abreast with the latest trends.
