ISLAMABAD: Chicken meat has become more expensive in different cities of the country. In Lahore, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken is Rs 354 per kg, while the retail rate has been set at Rs 368 per kg, chicken meat is Rs 533 per kg, eggs in Lahore are Rs 246 per dozen.
Yesterday, chicken meat in Lahore was Rs 519 per kg, on Sunday the price per kg increased by Rs 14, the price per kg of live chicken has increased by Rs 10.
In Peshawar, the price of live broiler chicken per kg has increased by Rs 20 in a day. The official price list has set the rate of live broiler chicken at Rs 420 per kg. In Faisalabad, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken is Rs 359 per kg while the retail rate is Rs 373 per kg. Chicken meat is being sold at Rs 540 per kg and eggs are Rs 246 per dozen.
Yesterday, in Rawalpindi, broiler chicken meat was Rs 570 per kg while the wholesale rate of live chicken was Rs 379 and the retail rate was Rs 393 per kg. There has been no change in the rates in Rawalpindi today. In Islamabad, the rate of live broiler chicken has been set at Rs 400 per kg while the price of farm eggs is Rs 247 per dozen.
