1220 flats for industrial workers in Labor Complexes located in Sundar, Kasur, and Taxila were approved.

These flats will be given to the labourers by a ballot process.

Moreover, the proposal for the recovery cost of the flats was rejected by the Chief Minister, ordering the construction of more than 3,000 flats for the labourers.

The cabinet also approved a minimum salary of Rs40,000 for skilled, semi-skilled, and other workers across 102 categories.

The Chief Minister commended Rescue 1122’s rescue efforts and offered an award of Rs50,000 for each officer who carried out flood duty in recognition of their efforts during the recent flood emergencies.

Earlier, Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz inaugurated two innovative mobile learning projects, “School on Wheels” and “Library on Wheels”.

The programs have installed solar-powered e-rickshaws equipped with folding chairs and solar roofs to deliver lessons and books to rural and urban areas.

“School on Wheels” offers primary education and creative activities, while “Library on Wheels” brings storybooks, art supplies, and educational toys to communities that do not have a fixed library.

The chief minister highlighted the initiatives as part of her administration’s push to improve literacy and educational access.
