LAHORE: The second phase of the Chief Minister Punjab Climate Leadership Internship Program has been launched, in which young people will be given a monthly stipend of Rs 60,000.
According to the details, the Punjab government has formally started online applications for the “CM Punjab Climate Leadership Development Internship Program” (Phase II, Batch II).
The selected interns will be given a monthly stipend of Rs 60,000 for this three-month program organized by the Department of Environmental Protection and Climate Change, Punjab.
The main objective of this program is to train youth as ‘climate warriors’ so that they can play their role in environmental governance and policy-making.
50% of the seats in this internship program have been reserved for female students, which is an important step to ensure the participation of women in environmental leadership.
During the internship, selected candidates will get the opportunity to work under the supervision of experts, access to district-wise field learning, access to learning management system, visits to EPA field offices, capstone projects, UNFCCC related certifications and expert supervision.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Candidate’s age should be between 20 and 27 years as on the last date of application submission.
Educational Qualification: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 75% marks or 3.0/4.0 CGPA.
The program is open to graduates of Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, GIS, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Economics, Media Studies, Journalism and Law.
How to Apply and Last Date
Aspiring and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official portal of EPA Punjab. Candidates will have to create an account on the portal and upload educational certificates, identity card and domicile. The last date for submitting online application is 18th July 2026 and applications received after the due date will not be considered.
