Court to announce verdict on Imran Khan’s bail in May 9 cases tomorrow

Former world cricket legends voice concern over Imran Khan’s health in jail

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) will pronounce its verdict on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s bail applications in eight cases related to the May 9 violence, including the high-profile Jinnah House attack case, on Tuesday.

A two-member bench comprising Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi and Justice Tariq Mahmood Bajwa reserved the verdict after hearing arguments from both sides.

The former prime minister has sought bail in several cases arising from the May 9 incidents, when protests erupted after his arrest last year, leading to attacks on sensitive installations including the Corps Commander House in Lahore (Jinnah House).

The verdict, which could have significant political and legal implications, will be pronounced in the Lahore High Court tomorrow.
