LAHORE: Police in Model Town arrested a husband on charges of stealing his wife’s jewelry.
According to the police, the woman had married a resident of Deepalpur 2 years ago. The woman said that someone stole gold jewelry worth Rs 30 million from her house.
On the woman’s request, a case of theft of 80 tolas of gold jewelry was registered at the Model Town police station.
Considering the situation suspicious, the police interrogated the woman’s husband, who confessed to the crime after 3 hours of interrogation.
Lahore: On the identification of the accused, the police recovered 55 tolas of jewelry and Rs 1.5 million hidden in the house. According to the police, the accused has sold the rest of the jewelry.
