DC Islamabad issues statement regarding fuel shortage

DC Islamabad issues statement regarding fuel shortage

ISLAMABAD: The Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad has rejected the viral claim of petrol shortage in Islamabad and Peshawar, stating that authorities have enough petrol stock.

In his post on X, he stated that ‘ District administration issues an important advisory to citizens on reports of petrol shortage at petrol pumps in the federal capital’.

The district administration is reviewing reports of petrol shortage at petrol pumps. Petrol and diesel stocks are available in ample quantity at petrol pumps across the city.

Due to the closure of heavy transport, some petrol pumps were reported to face temporary problems; however, fuel supply is being ensured at all such pumps through petrol tankers, he further added.

Citizens are requested not to be worried over such news. Assistant Commissioners are monitoring the availability of stock at pumps in their respective areas, while DC Islamabad is also monitoring the supply and availability of petrol and diesel across the city on the modern dashboard of the district administration.
