Decision to establish 6 cattle markets in Islamabad for Eid-ul-Adha

Govt announces strict guidelines for collection of hides during Eid-ul-Adha

ISLAMABAD: The District Administration Islamabad has decided to establish 6 cattle markets in the federal capital for the convenience of citizens on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

According to the administration, these markets will be established at Zia Masjid, I-12, Bara Kahu, Lahtrar Road, Sangjani and Japan Road.

The DC Islamabad has issued instructions that the process of establishing cattle markets should be completed at all 6 locations from May 10.

The administration has also directed to ensure effective arrangements for parking, sanitation, security and other basic facilities so that citizens do not face any difficulty while shopping.

The DC Islamabad has clarified that immediate action will be taken against those charging fees in excess of the prescribed rate in the markets, while a magistrate will be present on duty at each market at all times.

Directions have also been issued to formulate a special strategy with the police to maintain traffic flow in the city. The administration has warned that there will be a strict ban on buying and selling of animals outside designated places.
