Election Commission deals with new constituencies matter

The Election Commission deals with all the objections on new constituencies in 105 districts.

The final list of constituencies will be published on November 30, the Election Commission said.

The Election Commission has so far disposed of objections on new constituencies in 105 districts, the final list of constituencies will be published on November 30, after which the election schedule for general elections will be issued.

According to ECP sources, the preliminary list of new constituencies to be conducted under digital census was released on September 27, after which objections were sought till October 27.

In order to deal with these objections, the Election Commission has formed 2 benches where the objections to the new constituencies of the National and Provincial Assembly are being dealt with on a daily basis.

According to the ECP, till November 17 Friday, the districts of Islamabad, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Sialkot, Khuzdar, Rajanpur, Kurram, Khyber, Nankana Sahib, Attock, Jhelum, Kohat, Korangi, Khushab, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Kot Addu. , Toba Tek Singh, South Karachi, Lower Dir, Hangu, Orakzai, Multan, Jhang, Mohmand, Mansehra, Torghar, Battagram District, Omarkot, Karachi West, Central Karachi, Kemari, South Waziristan, North Waziristan, Bajaur, Lucky Marwat, Shangla. , Buner, Zhob, Shirani, Qila Saifullah, Rahim Yar Khan, Narowal, Rawalpindi, Murree, Layyah, Tharparkar, Badin, Shahdadkot, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Faisalabad,

Jamshoro, Swabi, Sargodha, Mianwali, Thatta, Upper Dir, Karak, Muzaffargarh, Bhakkar, Khairpur, Okara, Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar, Taunsa, Vehari, Quetta, Chaman, Qila Abdullah, Chagai, Kharan, Washik, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, In the districts of Kasur, DI Khan, Tank, Peshawar, Malir, Sanghar, Swat, Haripur, Chakwal, Tala Gang, Pishin, Ziarat, Sheikhupura, Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Ghotki, Charsadda, Bannu, Chiniot, Lahore and Abbottabad. Objections to the constituencies of the National and Provincial Assemblies have been resolved.

The Election Commission received 672 objections in Punjab, 228 in Sindh, 293 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 124 in Balochistan and 7 in Islamabad.

The Election Commission has announced the date of 8 February 2024 for the next general elections, the complete schedule of the general elections will be announced after the final publication of constituencies on 30 November.
