Electricity supply from the Guddu Power Plant remains suspended

KASHMORE – The power supply from the Guddu Thermal Power Plant was unable to be restored because authorities were unable to repair the technical fault despite a 48-hour period. A technical fault caused the power breaker at the switch yard to catch fire.

Despite the passage of two days, the power breaker at Guddu Thermal Power Plant could not be repaired.

The high transmission lines of 500 KV tripped as a result of the technical fault. Four power transmission lines were tripped, according to officials.

Electricity has been cut off in several areas, including Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Muzaffargarh, Sibi, and Dera Ghazi Khan.

Power has been out in several areas of Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan for the past 5 hours. Authorities say the situation will last until the sun rises.

According to Guddu Thermal House officials, the purchase of a new breaker could take up to 15 days. Because of a malfunction, that breaker caught fire.
