Fawad Chaudhry suggests legalizing's bars, liquor shops in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that bars and liquor shops should be allowed in Pakistan.

He said that these things are considered common in many countries of the world.

Recently, he participated in Shazia Zeeshan’s YouTube program, where Fawad discussed various topics.

He said that shisha and hookah are common all over the world, but we have closed everything, and there are no shisha cafes, bars, or suitable places for the public to sit.

He said that there are bars in the UAE and Turkiye where people sit and talk. He noted that going to bars does not mean that everyone who comes there drinks alcohol.

During the program, when asked by the host about the permission to drink alcohol, Chaudhry took a stand as to why they cannot allow alcohol in Pakistan. He said that why have the UAE and Turkiye allowed alcohol.

He added that it is up to the individual to decide if they want to have a shot of alcohol or not.

Social media users have dfferent opinion of the statement by the former Federal Minister.
