Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirms anti-terror commitment during Quetta visit

QUETTA: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, visited Quetta Garrison, where he addressed the officers and teachers of Command and Staff College.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, the Field Marshal appreciated the high quality of training, intellectual capacity, and professional skills in the college and said that the officers graduated from the institution have always been distinguished by their excellent performance and sense of duty.

He emphasized the need to stay attuned to emerging technology, multi-pronged operations, cooperation among the three armed forces, and future war challenges, while noting the rapidly changing nature of modern wars.

He said that officers and soldiers should be continuously trained according to the changing war situation so that all kinds of threats can be effectively confronted.

Later, the Field Marshal also met with the officers and soldiers deployed in Balochistan. He said that the armed forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate all forms of terrorism with the full support of the people.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said that the journey of Pakistan’s development cannot be stopped by false propaganda, fake news or foreign-sponsored terrorism. He said that conspiracies against Pakistan will fail due to the unity of the state and the people.

Stressing the importance of sustainable peace and stability in Balochistan, he said that lasting development is possible only through public welfare, inclusive development, and good governance.

He also appreciated the ongoing initiatives of the Balochistan government for public welfare and socio-economic development.

The Field Marshal also appreciated the high morale, operational readiness, and professional commitment of the officers and soldiers deployed in Balochistan.

On his arrival in Quetta, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was received by Commander Quetta Corps.
