RAWALPINDI: Five Indian-sponsored Khawarij were killed in an operation by security forces in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Major Adeel Zaman was martyred in a fierce exchange of fire.
According to the ISPR, an operation was conducted in Khar Bajaur on intelligence input in which five Indian-sponsored Khawarij were killed.
The ISPR said that Major Adeel Zaman was martyred in a fierce exchange of fire. He belonged to Dera Ismail Khan.
The ISPR said that Major Zaman led the soldiers from the front and fought bravely and sacrificed himself.
According to the ISPR, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the possession of the slain Khawarij, and the slain terrorists were involved in operations against the security forces.
The ISPR said that the slain Khawarij were also involved in the killing of civilians.
