TANGIER: Firing has taken place at the victory rally of PML-N leader Malik Kifayat-ur-Rehman in GBA-18 Tangier, Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to sources, supporters of former Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Haji Gulbar Khan allegedly opened fire on the PML-N rally, resulting in one person being seriously injured and immediately shifted to the hospital.
After the incident, the situation in the area has become extremely tense, while security agencies have been put on high alert to maintain law and order.
According to sources, a large contingent of security forces has been called in GBA-18 Tangier to deal with any untoward situation and surveillance has been tightened in the area.
