ISLAMABAD: As the final rituals of Hajj completed, the first post Hajj 2025 flights has arrived at Islamabad International Airport on Wednesday, carrying 307 Pakistani Pilgrims.
According to Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs Dr. Syed Ata Ur Rehman, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-732 departed from King Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Jeddah at 8:50 PM local time and arrived in Islamabad at 3:50 AM in the morning.
The pilgrims were welcomed by Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhary at the airport. The flight operations will continue will continue with additional flights landing across Pakistan.
342 flights operated by PIA, private airlines, and Saudi carriers will transport 88,390 pilgrims under the government scheme back to Pakistan. Dr. Syed Ata Ur Rehman noted that more than 115,000 Pakistanis performed Hajj this year under both government and private schemes.
As part of the initial phase, eight flights will land in Islamabad, Lahore, Multan and Karachi on June 11. The month-long operation will continue till July 10, with the aim of bringing back a total of 88,390 pilgrims under the government’s Hajj scheme.
