RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed five terrorists, including a suicide bomber, during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Pishin area.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the operation was carried out on information about the presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna-ul-Khawarij.
During the operation, its troops effectively engaged “the entire formation with multiple weapons”.
After a fierce exchange of fire, one suicide bomber blew himself up in a cowardly manner and four other Indian-sponsored terrorists were hunted down and neutralized.
Arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the possession of Khawarij, who was active in several terrorist operations in the area.
Clearance operations are being carried out to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorists found in the area.
The relentless counter-terrorism campaign by Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies under the vision of “Maximum Resilience” (as approved by the Federal Supreme Committee on the National Action Plan) will continue at full speed to eliminate the threat of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
