LAHORE – Overnight on Thursday and Friday, fog persisted over Punjab’s plains, encompassing Lahore, impeding daily activities and causing traffic disruptions.

In several cities, the dense fog has significantly impacted the flow of traffic on the roads. The Lahore-Multan Motorway M3 from Faizpur to Rajana, the Motorway M4 from Abdul Hakeem to Faisalabad, the Motorway M5 from Shershah to Uch Sharif, and the Motorway M2 from Lahore to Kot Momin have all been closed to all traffic, according to a spokesperson for the motorway.

The drivers have been urged by the motorway police to travel on Grand Trunk (GT) Road. Additionally, they have advised drivers to turn on their fog lights and drive slowly.
Additionally, the motorway police have asked everyone to stay at home and refrain from making needless trips. Due to poor visibility, dense fog has also caused traffic disruptions at various locations along the province’s National Highway.
