FPSC opens 327 positions for CSS 2025 recruitment

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Public Service Commission has announced 327 vacancies for allocation under the Central Superior Services (CSS) Competitive Examination 2025 for various professional groups and services.

According to an official press note, the vacancies include 191 new vacancies and 136 have been taken from previous years, taking the total number of vacancies to 327.

The distribution shows that 169 seats have been allocated under open merit including general merit while 35 seats have been reserved for women and 123 for minorities under various quota categories.

Punjab has been allotted the highest share with 157 vacancies, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 43, Sindh Rural with 30, Sindh Urban with 28 and Balochistan with 28 seats. The former FATA region has been allotted 16 seats, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 7 and Gilgit-Baltistan 3.

The vacancies have been divided into several professional groups, including Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), Foreign Service of Pakistan (FSP), Inland Revenue Service (IRS) and Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service (PAAS).

The commission said that allotment will be made on the basis of merit, eligibility, candidates’ preferences and their respective domiciles as per CSS rules and quota system.

The announcement outlines the number of posts available before the final allotment, which will be determined after the declaration of CSS 2025 results.
