ISLAMABAD: The government has announced the launch of passport home delivery service for the convenience of citizens.
According to the details, Director General Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa announced that a new passport home delivery service has been launched from July 1, under which citizens will not have to visit offices repeatedly to obtain passports.
DG Passports visited various passport offices and reviewed their complaints and issues during meetings with citizens. He directed the concerned staff to ensure prompt redressal of public complaints and further improve the quality of services.
Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that under the new system, the process of passport delivery will be made more transparent, efficient and faster. This step will save citizens from long queues and unnecessary waiting.
He also directed courier companies to ensure safe and timely delivery of passports so that the best facilities can be provided to the applicants.
The DG Immigration and Passports said that the government is continuously introducing reforms to provide modern, fast and people-friendly services and the scope of facilities will be further expanded in the future as well.
