KARACHI: The Sindh government has declared a public holiday on Friday and said that a highway in Karachi will be named after Ayatollah Khamenei.
According to the details, the Sindh government has declared a public holiday across the province on the last Friday of Ramadan, i.e. Friday.
In this regard, Provincial Minister for Local Government Nasir Hussain Shah said that the Sindh government has decided that an important highway in Karachi will be named after Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
He said that this step is being taken in recognition of his services at the global level.
Talking about rallies and security arrangements, the provincial minister clarified that in light of court orders, no kind of rally can be allowed on Shar-e-Faisal, as it disrupts traffic flow and citizens face severe difficulties.
He has appealed to all Shia organizations to hold Quds Day rallies on their traditional routes so that peace, order and discipline are maintained.
