Govt likely to raise salaries 7% and pensions 5% in upcoming budget

ISLAMABAD: The salaries of government employees are likely to increase by about 7 percent and pensions by 5 percent in the upcoming budget.

According to the report, no final announcement has been made by the government or the Ministry of Finance regarding the increase in salaries or pensions yet.

However, it is likely that the government will increase the salaries of government employees by about 7 percent while providing 5 percent relief for pensioners. In addition, the government may also introduce other relief measures for the salaried class.

Thousands of government employees and retirees across the country will benefit from the increase in salaries. However, the final decision will depend on the government’s financial capacity and overall budget strategy.
