Great news for those who have a new driving license

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police has completely converted the licensing process into a paperless system. The new system was formally inaugurated by IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Sarfraz Wark and other senior officers were also present at the inauguration ceremony. IG Islamabad conducted a detailed review of the paperless counters and also issued necessary instructions regarding the new digital system.

Speaking on the occasion, IG Islamabad said that this step has been taken for the convenience of citizens and saving their valuable time.

According to him, earlier while obtaining a license, citizens had to provide several documents, medical forms, photographs and photocopies, however, now this process has been completely abolished.

He said that under the new system, citizens will no longer need any additional documents or photocopies, the entire licensing process will be completed digitally, from medical to issuance of license, all stages have been made paperless.

IG Islamabad appreciated the performance of the Chief Traffic Officer and his team and said that they completed this important project in a short time, which is commendable.
