BAJAUR: Unknown persons attacked the house of Minister of State Mubarak Zeb Khan with a hand grenade late last night, as a result of which fortunately no one was injured.
The attack damaged the walls of the house and the explosion spread panic in the premises of the house. According to initial reports, the attackers fled the scene after throwing the grenade.
DPO Waqas Rafique said that the windows of nearby houses were also broken in the explosion and a search operation is underway in the affected area.
He said that a full investigation has been launched into the incident to determine the motives and those responsible for the attack.
This is the fourth attack on Mubarak Zeb Khan’s house, which occurred at different times in the past years.
Security arrangements have been tightened after the attack and additional patrols have been increased in the area.
Police and local authorities have asked the public not to panic and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
The incident has become a cause for concern in political and security circles, and assurances have been given that the investigation will be completed soon.
