Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour bids farewell to electoral politics

PESHAWAR: Senior politician Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour retired from electoral politics at the age of 86.

During a press conference at Bilour House, former federal minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour said that the establishment did not even consider my age, and I was defeated on the seat I won.

He said that I did politics for this country and nation for 55 years, but the establishment does not need those who do not bow down or surrender, which is why I was defeated three times.

The ANP leader said that our country defeated India on the battlefield, but in the economic field, they are far behind.

He said that some people call the 18th Amendment nonsense, but they do not know that the 18th Amendment is like the Objectives Resolution; if it is tampered with, the country will suffer.

He said that the party has to decide who will contest the election in my seat. I am leaving a strong party while leaving Peshawar, but I will be buried in this same soil.

He further said that I am withdrawing from electoral politics, but I am not leaving politics. Such circumstances have arisen that I cannot live alone in Peshawar now, hence I am moving to Islamabad.
