SUKKAR: A letter has been sent to the IG Sindh for the formation of a new JIT in the Priya Kumari case, Priya Kumari has been missing since August 19, 2021.
According to the details, an important development has come out in the abduction and disappearance case of Priya Kumari, where the DIG Sukkur has sent a formal letter to the IG Sindh for the formation of a new Joint Investigation Team (JIT).
According to the letter, the DIG Sukkur has recommended the nomination of DIG Sukkur Nasir Aftab to head the new JIT.
The letter states that Priya Kumari has been missing since August 19, 2021, while the JIT previously formed by the district police and the Sindh Home Department has not been successful in her recovery so far.
The letter states that the first JIT made every effort, but no significant results have been achieved so far, due to which the formation of a new joint investigation team has become inevitable for the early recovery of Priya Kumari.
The recommendation states that the new JIT should include senior commanding officers of the police, law enforcement agencies, Sindh Rangers and representatives of intelligence agencies. It has also been suggested to include SSP Sukkur, SSP Larkana, SSP Shikarpur, DSP City Sukkur, IB and Rangers Intelligence officers in the proposed team.
The letter further recommends that the matter for the formation of the JIT be immediately sent to the Home Department of the Government of Sindh so that a new investigation team can be formed after formal approval.
According to the letter, the proposed JIT will conduct a joint investigation for the recovery of Priya Kumari and will try to ensure progress by re-examining all aspects of the case.
