RAWALPINDI: Due to the planned protest by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) tomorrow, internet services may be suspended throughout the city.
As per the details, PTI has announced a peaceful protest in Rawalpindi. PTI on Friday cancelled a planned rally in the city of Rawalpindi on Saturday on the instructions of party founder Imran Khan.
“On instructions of founding Chairman PTI, Imran Khan, the Rawalpindi Jalsa on Sept 28th is cancelled and there will be a peaceful protest instead,” the PTI party said in a statement on Thursday. “More details will be shared soon.”
While the Punjab government has imposed Section 144 in Rawalpindi as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has called for a peaceful protest in the city.
Section 144 has been imposed for two days, set to take effect on Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29.
Rangers have also been deployed to ensure law and order. A notification has been sent to the federal government regarding their deployment.
