Islamabad businessman Aamir Awan shot dead in farmhouse robbery

ISLAMABAD: A renowned businessman, Aamir Awan, was gunned down in an alleged robbery case in Islamabad, confirmed police authorities on Monday.

It is reported that the incident took place in the jurisdiction of Shahzad Town Police Station, where 12 to 14 armed robbers  entered the farmhouse of businessman Aamir Awan. The robbers took the security guards of the farmhouse hostage.

Police said the attackers opened fire when Aamir Awan resisted, leaving him with two bullet wounds. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Aamir Awan is a renowned personality in the business sector and is also the owner of Toyota Islamabad Motors, which is affiliated with Toyota.

The business community is expressing anger and resentment over the killing of business personality Aamir Awan.

It is reported that the reason behind the killing of the business personality could be either robbery or enmity, and the authorities are probing the case thoroughly. Raids are being conducted at different places to arrest the culprits involved in the case.
