KARACHI: In view of the fear of a major gas crisis in Karachi, the SSGC has issued an alert.

According to the details, worrying news has come out regarding the supply of gas for the residents of Karachi.

Due to a sudden technical fault in the supply of gas provided to the Sui Southern Gas Company, there has been a serious fear of gas shortage in different areas of the city.

The SSGC spokesperson said that technical problems suddenly arose in two important gas fields supplying gas to the company, the amount of gas coming into the system from these fields has decreased significantly, which is severely affecting the gas pressure.

The spokesperson has clarified that the company is active to deal with this situation, is keeping a close eye on the situation so that the available gas can be distributed as per the need.

The spokesperson says, “We are trying to resolve this unexpected shortage as soon as possible so that the difficulties faced by the consumers can be eliminated.”

Due to this technical fault, gas pressure is likely to be extremely low or completely cut off during peak cooking hours in densely populated areas of Karachi.

Citizens have been advised to use gas only when absolutely necessary until the supply is fully restored.
