Islamabad To Get Country’s Largest IT Park

ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) gave its approval for the construction of the biggest IT park in the nation in Islamabad. A 3.3-acre parcel in the federal capital’s sector G-10 has already been set aside for the purpose.

The park, to be operated under a public-private partnership, will employ between 5,000 and 6,000 freelancers. Similarly, the park will also have areas designated for a library and a center for IT product displays. Private IT companies will be able to construct their offices by renting out various locations in the park, according to CDA officials.

According to the officials, the project would not get a single dime from the Pakistani government and would be fully transferred to the CDA after 15 years.
