ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced that a major three-day open auction will start on Tuesday, July 15 till Jul 17, offering commercial plots and shops.
The announcement came during a high-level meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, where the arrangements for the auction were reviewed.
As per details, the civic agency will offer 46 commercial plots and shops in the parking plaza in the Blue Area, which is near completion.
The auction is a significant opportunity to invest in Islamabad’s real estate, tourism, and hospitality sectors. The initiative is part of a broader plan to transform the capital into a regional hub for sports, recreation, and economic growth.
During the meeting, the authority chairman directed officials to provide maximum facilitation to investors participating in the upcoming auction. The meeting was informed that the investors were being offered prime opportunities in the auction of commercial plots.
Chairman Randhawa said that the CDA must ensure transparency, accessibility of information, and efficient handling of the auction process to attract credible investors. “For that, the dedicated information counters and booths should be established, where comprehensive details can be provided,” he said.
In a meeting today with investors, the CDA Auction Committee encouraged the investors and private sector participation and announced that an Investment Expo will also be held at Jinnah Convention Center during the auction to showcase other key CDA projects.
Furthermore, according to the CDA spokesperson, the Wednesday meeting also discussed the current and future projects related to the promotion of sports facilities, the hotel industry, and tourism in the federal capital.
Senior CDA officials, including members of finance, environment, engineering, and planning, as well as directors from the enforcement, sports, and DMA wings, were in attendance.
