Islamabad weather forecast: Partly cloudy/hot weather is expected in the city

ISLAMABAD: Partly cloudy/hot weather is expected in Islamabad and its surroundings, while thunderstorms/isolated rain may occur during the afternoon/evening

As Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave prevails over northern parts of the country.

Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 35-40°C today.

Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 39-41°C today.

Meanwhile, hot and dry prevailed in the twin cities and most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. Extremely hot weather prevailed in the southern parts. However, some areas received scattered rains.

Windstorm/thunderstorm-rain occurred in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Balochistan, Pothohar region, lower Sindh, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Hot and dry weather prevailed over other parts of the country.
