Training plane crashes, bird strike grounds flight near Islamabad Airport

ISLAMABAD: A private flying club training plane crashed near Islamabad Airport.

According to sources, the pilot and trainee pilot were injured in the crash of the training plane.

Sources say that the injured have been shifted to the trauma center at Islamabad Airport.

On the other hand, a private airline flight from Islamabad to Karachi narrowly escaped the accident. During the departure, a bird hit the plane, which caused the plane to be grounded.

After the incident, two Karachi-Islamabad flights, PA 207 and 208, were canceled.

According to the airline administration, the plane hit a bird while departing from Islamabad Airport for Karachi. The pilot stopped the departure and diverted the plane to the taxiway. The bird hit damaged the engine of the Airbus A320 aircraft. Further inspection is underway.
