Karachi police rescues 8-year old missing girl

Four 'Raw agents' arrested

KARACHI: In a swift operation, the Karachi police rescued an 8-year-old girl identified as Tahira hours after she was reported missing in the Rizvia police station area.

The girl went missing near the time of iftar, her family tried to locate her but failed, which led them to seek police assistance, after which a search operation was initiated and subsequently formed a special team that located her near Musarrat Cinema.

Later the innocent girl was safely handed over to her family members.

However, this incident does not stand alone as several cases of abduction and kidnapping are reported in Pakistan every day. The authorities need to take immediate action to ensure children’s safety and their well-being.

In another development, four policemen from the federal capital are in custody for attempting to kidnap a man for ransom. A citizen had registered a complaint with the Tarnol police to the effect that four policemen stopped him and his companions at the Sangjani toll plaza while they were traveling to Murree from Peshawar.

According to the complainant, they were taken to a flat in Sector G-15 and released thereafter on payment of one million rupees.
