KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has arranged an exciting flypast by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets on February 19 to mark the start of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and for that Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport will remain temporarily closed.
In preparation for the opening ceremony of the tournament, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to both national and international airlines airlines.
During the event, a designated air corridor will remain closed and flights will not be allowed to land or take off between 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM.
As a precautionary measure, commercial flights arriving at Karachi Airport have been instructed to carry additional fuel and take necessary precautions.
The Civil Aviation Authority has formally communicated these guidelines to all airlines via NOTAM.
As per the details, several flights will be affected due to the minor changes in schedules including AirSial’s Lahore to Karachi flight (PF-144), Fly Jinnah’s Lahore to Karachi flight (9P-843), and Airblue’s Karachi to Lahore flight (PA-402)
Passengers traveling to and from Karachi and Lahore are advised to check with their respective airlines for updated schedules.
