KARACHI: The temperature in the city is likely to drop further, while experts have also predicted the severity of the cold.
The severity of the cold continues to persist in various cities of rural Sindh, including Karachi, while the minimum temperature in the city has been recorded in single digits for the second day.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature is likely to drop to 8 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
According to Chief Meteorologist Karachi Amir Haider Leghari, the current cold wave may continue until Tuesday.
He said that the increase in the intensity of the cold has been due to the recent western rain system, because as a result of natural processes, cold winds are present behind the western system.
Amir Haider Leghari said that after the complete withdrawal of the system, Siberian winds become active, due to which a further decrease in temperature is felt. He also said that no rain system is expected to affect Karachi for the next 10 days.
