KARACHI: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched an innovative bike service in Karachi to make its services more accessible and convenient for residents.

The initiative aims to reduce long queues and waiting times, offering doorstep delivery of essential services like issuance and renewal of National Identity Card.

According to NADRA officials, the service will be formally launched from Monday. Initially, three bikes will operate in Karachi, while one bike each in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas to cover the respective areas. To further expand the service, 10 additional bikes are expected to be added in the coming days.

The bike service representatives will carry portable processing equipment, which will enable them to handle applications directly at the doorsteps of citizens. To avail this service, a total fee of PKR 1,000 will be charged, which includes PKR 825 service charges and PKR 175 delivery fee.

Officials highlighted that this new service is designed to cater to those who want to avoid the hassle of traveling to NADRA centre’s, especially individuals with busy schedules or limited mobility.
