KP CM announces interest free loan scheme for journalists

PESHAWAR: The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has directed the proposal of a comprehensive scheme for providing interest-free loans to journalists to establish media set-ups.

The Chief Minister has also directed the establishment of day care centers in all judicial complexes.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi regarding the Annual Development Program for the year 2026-27.

In which new projects of Information, Science, Technology, Law, Mines and Minerals, and Labor Departments were considered.

The Chief Minister directed the proposal of a scheme for providing interest-free loans to journalists to establish personal media set-ups, so that interest-free loans will facilitate self-employment and the establishment of their own platforms for young journalists.

The Chief Minister also directed the establishment of day care centers for the children of lawyers, judicial officers, and staff in all judicial complexes.

He also proposed a scheme to eliminate child labor in the province and include these children in the educational stream, and directed maximum tree plantation in mining areas.

The meeting also proposed the establishment of a Drone Center of Excellence in the IT sector, a Cyber ​​Security Operation Center, and a Digital City in the merged districts.
