KP announces province-wide strike against federal “Bias”

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government employees have announced a strike on May 12 and 20. The All Government Employees Grand Alliance (AGEGA) has announced a strike and protest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on May 12 and 20.

According to AGEGA, all government offices and educational institutions across the province will be closed today, while protests will also be held in front of press clubs in all districts at 12 noon.

AGEGA says that if the demands are not accepted, a complete lockout and protest will be held again on May 20.

The organization has demanded that the old pension system of government employees be restored and the allowances of 2011 and 2015 be given again.

In addition, a demand has been made for the allocation of 30 percent disparity reduction allowance (DRA) for provincial employees on the federal model.
