Lahore Basant sales hit over Rs 320 million in two days

Over 20,000 sanitary workers deployed for Basant festival

LAHORE: In provincial capital Lahore, the purchase and sale of kites and pins for Basant remained at a peak on the second day, with purchases worth more than Rs 180 million.

According to the details, the Legal Advisor Kite Flying Association has said that on the second day in Lahore, more than Rs 180 million was purchased and sold, on the first day more than Rs 160 million was purchased and sold, and in 2 days, more than Rs 320 million worth of kites and pins were purchased and sold.

Malik Faizan Ahmed said that on the second day more than 600,000 kites were sold in the markets, and on the second day more than 15,000 pins were sold in the markets.

The Legal Advisor Kite Flying Association said that one and a half tawa gada is being sold for Rs 700, one tawa for Rs 350 and one tawa for Rs 200.

Malik Faizan Ahmed said that a two-piece panna is being sold for 7 to 8 thousand rupees, while a four-piece panna is being sold for 12 to 15 thousand rupees.
