Lahore Metro Bus infrastructure crumbles amid rising theft

Islamabad-Rawalpindi Metro Bus Service completely suspended

LAHORE: In a shocking revelation, Fences, flower pots, and other installations along the Lahore Metro Bus track have been stolen by the roaming drug addicts.

The major thefts were worth millions, raising serious questions over the security of the main public transport in the provincial capital.

The incident happened in broad daylight, where fences and decorative structures were robbed,d demonstrating the worst management system of the public transport

Punjab Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan acknowledged the thefts and admitted that security gaps had led to the damage.

“We are aware of the issue and have instructed the concerned departments to take immediate action,” said the minister. “Security will be enhanced along the entire Metro Bus corridor, and we will be increasing the number of CCTV cameras to ensure round-the-clock surveillance.”

He elaborated that a comprehensive investigation on the subject is underway with the local police and administration to eliminate the robbery incidents and curb the movement of drug dealers.
