LAHORE: Former member of the provincial assembly, former district nazim Layyah and senior political figure Malik Ghulam Haider Thand has passed away.
According to family sources, the deceased had been ill and undergoing treatment in the hospital for a long time. His funeral prayers were offered at Milad Ground Layyah, which was attended by a large number of political, social, religious figures and the public.
The late Malik Ghulam Haider Thand was an influential political and social figure of Layyah district and remained active in public service and local politics for a long time.
