ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has announced that the monsoon spell 2025 has ended in the country with no more rains in the coming days.
“Hot and dry weather is expected in flood-affected areas of Punjab and Sindh during the next week,” PMD stated.
The weather in the plains areas will likely remain hot during the day, while nighttime temperatures remain moderate.
However, Cloudy weather has been forecasted for Gilgil-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir and the adjoining mountainous region in the afternoon today. Partly cloudy weather is likely in coastal areas.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has announced that the province’s monsoon season has officially concluded.
Director General Irfan Ali Kathia has stated that no more rain is expected in the next week, and water levels in flood-affected regions are slowly decreasing.
According to the PDMA, flooding during this year’s Punjab monsoon devastated 4,755 villages in 28 districts. So far, 123 deaths have been recorded, and over 4.5 million individuals have been affected.
