Ministry of religious affairs takes notice of fake hajj assistants recruitment advertisement

Pakistan to provide free SIM cards in Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2026 pilgrims

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs Pakistan has taken notice of a fake advertisement issued by a bogus company for the recruitment of Hajj Assistants (Khadmeen-e-Hajj).

In a letter addressed to the Director General of the FIA, the ministry has requested legal action against those responsible for publishing the fraudulent advertisement. The letter refers to an advertisement published on December 8, 2025, in a Peshawar-based daily newspaper, which claimed to recruit Hajj assistants for Saudi Arabia.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs said that several advertisements regarding the recruitment of Khadam-ul-Hujjaj circulating in some newspapers and on social media platforms are fake. The spokesperson clarified that the ministry has not issued any such advertisement and warned the public to remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes.

The ministry has urged citizens not to respond to such misleading advertisements and to verify information only through official government channels.
